What is Passover? | Passover for Kids | 26:8 Kids

The holiday of Passover celebrates the story of the Exodus, and it reminds us of the death of Jesus, our Passover Lamb. Every year, we celebrate the feast of Passover as Christians. Find out how we celebrate, and more importantly, why we celebrate Passover and the story of the Hebrews leaving Egypt. Our kids director Colette Blair explains the Exodus story and explains how Jesus is a part of the story as she teaches us about Passover for the kids. This year, during 2024, celebrate the season of God's freedom with your kids with our kids resources. There are many ways to include our children in the festival of Purim. Passover is a liturgical holiday that remembers the Exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt. We celebrate Passover with a traditional dinner called a Seder, and we remember the death and resurrection of Jesus, our Passover Lamb. The Biblical Spring and Fall Festivals including Passover (Pesach), Unleavened Bread (Chag Hamatzot), First Fruits (Yom Bikkurim), Pentecost (Shavuot), Trumpets (Yom Teruah), Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) and Tabernacles (Sukkot). Other notable holidays include Hanukkah and Purim. What are these festivals? As Christians, can we celebrate the Jewish holidays? In our Passover video, we dive into the meaning of the Biblical Spring festival as we study the history of the Passover holiday. We ask how we can see Jesus, the Messiah in the Passover.
