Our Vision

Is the Name and Fame of Jesus

"O LORD, we wait for you. We desire your fame and reputation to grow. Who you are and what you've done are all we'll ever want."

We follow Jesus:  Jesus came into the world to forgive and heal us. He gives life that’s overflowing and lasts forever. So, we’re committed to follow him with all of our life, for the rest of our life. And help others follow him, too.

We live like family: Jesus created us to live as a family, loving each other the same way he loves us. We hope everyone finds a place to call home. Together, we’re learning to live as family, sharing our lives together, encouraging and forgiving one another, and helping each other do what Jesus created us to do.

We love our city: Jesus was sent into the world to save the world, not judge the world. He sends us into the world to share with others the hope and life he’s given us. When we do, people, families, and cities are changed.

Our Story

Our Story

Twenty Six Eight is a non-denominational church in Meridian, Idaho. Pastor David and Nadine Snyder were ordained as Lead Pastors in 2000.

Our church was started with a commitment to the presence of Jesus, living together as family, and loving the city. Our heart has been to pursue the presence of Jesus, to be changed by him, his love, and his power.

We’re committed to loving each other like family. We envisioned a place where people feel at home. A place to be human, to make mistakes, to be loved and equipped to do what Jesus created them to do.

And our heart is for the city. We have a special concern for those who need the restoration and healing of Jesus, negatively impacted by spiritual relational, and economic brokenness. We love the city of Meridian and the people who live here.

In 2022, we opened a community center in downtown Meridian to serve the practical needs of the people in Meridian.  We moved to our current building in downtown Meridian in April 2024.

In the future, we intend to plant more churches and community centers. We invite you to join us to follow Jesus with all of your heart, live like family, and impact Meridian, the Treasure Valley, and the world.

What We Believe

What We Believe

Although our approach is modern, what we believe is tried and true. Our methods may change, but these are the foundational beliefs we'll always hold on to as a church.

Twenty Six Eight About History and Story

About the Bible

We believe the Bible is the word of God Himself. We believe it was written by many authors, all divinely inspired by God as they wrote. This book is authoritative, indisputable, and applicable to our everyday life.

Twenty Six Eight About History and Story

About God

We believe there is only one eternal God who is the Creator of all creation. This eternal God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. He is infinitely loving and completely holy.

Twenty Six Eight About History and Story

About Mankind

We believe God created man as good, but sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. Mankind has lost relationship with Him and cannot return to relationship by their own efforts.

Twenty Six Eight About History and Story

About Jesus

We believe Jesus Christ was fully God and fully man, one who reconciled us. He gave us an example of a holy sinless life, died on the cross in our place, paid for our sins and rose from the dead, proving His victory over sin and giving us the strength to live a righteous life.

Twenty Six Eight About History and Story

About Salvation

We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way for the forgiveness of sin. God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation cannot be earned: it is a gift from God.

Twenty Six Eight About History and Story

About the Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit who dwells in every believer, reminds us of our salvation, guides us into all truth, glorifies Jesus and convicts of sin, righteousness and judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, encourages us  and empowers us to do the will of God.

Twenty Six Eight About History and Story

About the Church

We believe the body of Christ is in God's church, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith in the finished work of Christ and are now a family in Jesus. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him, obeying Him and bringing the gospel to the world.

About Eternity

We believe in the visible return of Christ to the earth and the establishing of His Kingdom some day, in the resurrection of our bodies, and a final judgment. We believe that our eternal destination of either heaven or hell is determined by our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ during our time on earth.
