What is First Fruits?
First Fruits is a one-day festival that celebrates the harvest and the resurrection of Jesus. It shows that Jesus is alive and blesses us with new life. Families gather for a special meal that includes fish.
Long ago, Jesus died on the cross, and three days later, he came back to life. His friends were sad and scared, but some women went to visit his tomb. They found the stone rolled away and an angel told them Jesus was alive. They were so excited and ran to tell the others. Back in Jerusalem, Jesus appeared to His friends, showing them His hands and feet to prove He was alive. He even ate fish to show He wasn't a ghost.
First Fruits reminds us that Jesus is alive and we celebrate with joy, remembering His resurrection and the new life He gives us.
